Sutra Studies

Description:

Discover your own Self through the study of yoga sutras, Jnana yoga. This course will demystify the wisdom found in yogic teachings. No yoga background is needed.

Each session is a 2- 4 week series dedicated to delving into Sutra Studies. Through the series you will have the opportunity for self inquiry, contemplation, meditation and deepening your understanding that comes through Jnana yoga. You do not need to attend all three series and can jump in anytime. However, by attending all series, you will have the chance to study all the themes. The themes stand alone but also build upon themselves.

Dates:

Series 1: April 5th - April 26th, Every Wednesday from 7 pm - 9 pm

Series 2: July 18 and 25 Every Tuesday from 7 pm - 9 pm

Series 3: October 9th - October 30th, Every Monday from 7 pm - 9 pm

Location:

April 5th - April 26th: In person at the University of Richmond (800 Blanton Avenue) or virtually through zoom (link will be provided)

July 19th - August 9th - Zoom (link will be provided)

October 9th - 0ctober 30th - Zoom (link will be provided)

Fee:

$15 per class (series of 4 is $60)

Meditation

Description:

Whatever you think meditation can do for you, it will give you so much more! This 3-week series makes meditation easy and accessible. It is perfect for beginners and experienced meditators.

Dates:

Series 1: June 8th - June 22nd Every Thursday from 7 pm - 9 pm

Single Meditations: September 7 and September 14th , Thursday from 7 pm - 8:15 pm

Series 3: November 27th - December 11th, Every Monday from 7 pm - 9 pm

Location:

Fee:

$45 for the series. Please plan to attend all three meetings.

$10 for Single Night Meditation

Shavasana

Description:

Find the peace and fullness within, as you rest in Shavasana (yoga’s relaxation pose). You will be led in a guided awareness and a healing breathing practice. No experience needed. Beginners and experienced yogis welcome!

Yoga

Description:

Classes are based on Svaroopa® Yoga Poses

Dates:

February 12th, February 26th, March 12th, March 19th, April 2nd, April 16th, May 21st, June 4 and 25th, July 16 and 30th, August 6, 13 and 27, September 10 and 24, October 8 and 22 from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Location:

The class will be held in person. Location details will be provided once registered.
